What is included with the exclusive use venue fee?

The exclusive use venue fee includes the use of our tables and chairs, silverware, crockery, fluted champagne glasses, wine glasses and sliver ice buckets. We also provide white linen table cloths and napkins as well as a variety of organza overlays and stunning centre pieces for the tables. We drape the bridal table and can offer a basic swag drape as a back drop to the bridal table and seating plan board.

We have an elegant thatched gazebo surround by beautifully established gardens which is available for romantic ceremonies. Although it’s outside, we have a patio that can seat up to 120 guests under cover for the ceremony. We supply the chairs, and red carpet and we drape the gazebo banisters. Our gardens and farm lands are well used by photographers for amazing wedding memories.

Can we bring our own food and drink?

Food and beverage is exclusively provided by Thatchwoods. We take pride in tailor making menus to suit and are happy to plan a menu according to budget.

Due to liquor license laws, all alcohol beverages served must be purchased through the restaurant with the exception of wine and champagne which may be supplied by the client at a corkage fee of R20 per bottle. (Limited to 24 bottles) Management will confiscate and alcohol brought to the premises illegally.

Is smoking permitted?

Thatchwoods is a non-smoking venue, but ashtrays are provided on both our front and sea-facing patios

For how long is the venue available to hire?

The venue is available until 12pm for an evening function. The duration of a breakfast or lunch function is 5 hours. A deposit is required to secure your booking and will be deducted from the final payment. Should you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, the deposit is non-refundable.

What payment methods do you accept?

Deposits and payments can be made by Bank guaranteed cheques, credit cards, debit cards or cash.
